The Inclusion Project is a package of support delivered by our Inclusion Coordinator. From our experience we regularly see people who struggle to maintain their accommodation and access to services due to behaviours, mental ill health and substance misuse. The Inclusion Project is designed to support people to prevent or relieve their homelessness through addressing the issues they face. This is delivered through group work, links with specialist services, challenging and addressing negative behaviours and 1-1 support sessions.
This is an innovative, coproduced project and is being shared with services across the country as a guide to best practice. We have developed a training programme and delivered it to local police officers with people who come to the Centre, helping them understand how to best protect and serve people experiencing homelessness in the community.
Who is this service for?
As well as supporting individuals to address the barriers they face in maintaining access to services and accommodation, we support other organisations develop their approach to inclusion through delivering workshops or ad-hoc support to professionals.
How do you access this service?
People at the Centre who are experiencing difficulties in maintaining access to services have access to the Inclusion Project, as well as others who have experienced this in the past. Organisations can contact our Inclusion Coordinator if their service or someone they support would benefit from getting involved in the Inclusion Project.
